8U A Championship Recap
The Palmyra Black Knights (Black) (5-0-0) secured the 8U A division championship with a 6-5 victory over the Bowie Bruins (3-2-0). In a fast-paced game, the Bruins built an early lead with three first-period goals, but Palmyra responded with two of their own. A strong second-period push by the Black Knights proved to be the difference as they outscored Bowie 4-2, holding on through the final frame to complete their perfect tournament run.
8U B Championship Recap
The Long Beach Lightning (6-0-0) dominated the 8U B division championship with an 8-2 win over the Palmyra Black Knights (Red) (3-2-0). A high-scoring first period saw the Lightning put up all eight of their goals, setting the tone for the game. The Black Knights answered with two goals in the second, but the Lightning’s early lead was too much to overcome as they secured the title with an undefeated tournament record.
8U C Championship Recap
The Long Beach Lightning (Blue) (5-1-0) edged out the Palmyra Black Knights (White) (3-2-0) in a close 4-3 victory to capture the 8U C division title. The game remained competitive throughout, with both teams exchanging goals in the first two periods. The Lightning held onto their one-goal advantage in the third, securing the win and the championship.
